In a Nutshell
Big juicy red fruits backed by fine tannins - a ripe but fresh style that pairs well with food.
A deeply coloured, full-flavoured, spicy red with aromas of wild plum and black cherry accentuating savoury, liquorice characters. The palate combines dark fruit flavours with lightly smoky notes, a hint of bitter chocolate and structured tannins.
Traditional fermentation at 26 to 30C, between 5 and 10 days maceration, bottled young with no oak ageing. Grapes are sourced from southern Sicily, around Riesi - Nero d’Avola’s traditional heartland.
