In a Nutshell
From Araldica's prized hilltop Camillona site - this Sauvignon has ripe fruit with delicate herbaceous characters.
Citrus fruit aromas are lifted by delicate elderflower, and a waft of Mediterranean herbs. The palate shows ripe and zesty citrus fruit with a note of peach adding weight. The finish is long, fresh and deliciously green and zesty.
Each block is processed separately, being hand harvested in the first ten days of September, chilled, destemmed and crushed. They are pressed to a stainless steel tank for settling for 36 hours. Steel tanks are used for the fermentation to allow for temperature control. The wine is bottled in the following spring.
Araldica is Piemonte’s most progressive co-operative, situated in Castel Boglione, in the heart of Barbera d’Asti territory. Here they work with 230 grower members to source quality grapes from around 690ha of vineyards.
