In a Nutshell
Rich, dark fruit and a serious tannic structure.
Intense and dark in colour with a very intense nose of cherry, plums and red apple with a waft of gingery spice. The palate shows ripe, plummy fruit but with a strong tannic undercurrent. Ripe, almost stewed fruit flavours linger on the long finish.
Vinification on the skins, short maceration for 4 - 6 days at a temperature of 15 - 18 °C. Three months maturation in steel tanks before four months bottle ageing.
