In a Nutshell

Rugged and uncompromising Sangiovese blend, begging for a bloody, well-hung, steak!

Tasting Notes

An intense and ripe nose with opulent plum and cherry fruit. The palate is powerful and richly-flavoured, with ripe black fruit flavours backed by pepper and spice. This evolves to spicy oak and liquorice - all followed by a firm, dry finish with ample ripe tannins.

Manual harvest. Alcoholic fermentation with controlled temperature (less than 30° C) for 15 days. Malolactic fermentation in steel vats. Matured in 3000l oak barrels for a period of 24 months. Matured in bottle for 6 months.
