Fresh and lively white from near Lake Garda
Aromas of ripe, tropical fruit lead on to a citrus-laden palate with highlights of peach and sweet pineapple. A dash of vanilla cream hits the mid-palate whilst the finish is dry, and mineral-laden with a zingy, zesty twang.
The grapes are fermented at cool temperatures to preserve the aromatic compounds of the grapes, in stainless steel tanks for seven days. After fermentation, the wine spends a further five months maturing in stainless steel before bottling.
Tommasi was founded in 1902 and has grown to be the largest family-owned vineyard estate in Valpolicella Classico. Tommasi is located in Pedemonte in the heart of the historic ‘Classico’ region, from which the best quality wines are produced. From grandfather Giacomo’s small vineyard holding, the Tommasi estate has grown over the years and today comprises 195 hectares of vineyard including 105 hectares in the Valpolicella Classica and 15 hectares in the Lugana DOC.
