In a Nutshell
Burleigh's signature gin in the classic London Dry style
Crisp, citrussy fruit on the nose and a note of eucalyptus. The palate shows a whack of juniper followed by spicy lemon fruit which persists through to the floral, fragrant finish. For the perfect G&T serve with a twist of orange zest.
The distillery is located in an old milking parlour on a farm in Nanpantan, near Loughborough, Leicestershire. A 450 litre Holstein copper pot still with four plate side column produces 200 litres distillate per batch. This is diluted with purified water to bottling strength before being hand bottled on site ready for despatch. All these operations are carried out manually on site. 11 botanicals are used: Juniper Berries, Coriander Seed, Angelica Root, Orris Root, Cardamom Seed, Cassia Bark, Fresh Orange Peel, Dandelion Root, Burdock Root, Elderberries and Silver Birch.
