Carousal: a very merry celebration.
2020, the year we didn’t want… As we’re not able to throw our big Christmas shin-dig in the usual way we’ve had to get creative in putting our wines in front of you this festive season.
This series of three tastings will explore a selection of wines we’ve chosen with this celebratory season in mind. Each selection contains six different wines which we’ll be tasting with you, live over zoom on the date advertised. Cat will present each wine and give you a bit of background on the style and there will be opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.
This second tasting is Christmas Presents, a look at a selection of gifts for loved ones this Christmas, some of these will be available in gift boxes. We’ll be tasting two whites, two reds, a port and a dessert wine.
Check out Christmases Past here and Christmas Yet To Come here.
The tasting pack comes in several different sizes:
Individual, these are 60ml samples of each wine perfect for one person to enjoy and equivalent over the tasting to roughly half a bottle of wine.
Duo, these are 100ml samples for two to share or for those who want to revisit their samples afterwards with some food.
Weekender, these are full bottles for the brave! If restrictions allow this will be a good way to get a few friends together and try some fantastic wines. The bottles will last a couple of days once opened so you can enjoy them over the course of a weekend with your dinner.
Please note: The individual and duo sizes will only be sent to you a day or so before the tasting. Your order will not be processed and finalised until the week of the tasting. If you are outside SO21/22/23 you can order for delivery until 10am on the Wednesday before the event, after this point we cannot guarantee your wines will reach you on time.
It isn’t ideal but we are having to use plastics for the smaller wine portions. We are running a returns scheme on this for local attendees so that we can sterilise and reuse these in future, each returned pack of six will earn you £5 to spend in the shop. The plastics are recyclable so if you are too far away to return the bottles and have no other use for these containers please ensure you recycle them.
