Wine Tasting Series: The Winebuyer’s Assignment

Thursday 11th March 2021, 6pm

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate the Toscanaccio Wine Club and obtain details of their intended new listings….

For the next six weeks we’ll be exploring the role of the wine buyer and trying six brand new wines recommended to us. We’ll be discussing the various elements that influence our decision to buy a wine. You’ll be feeding in to the process and ultimately deciding whether the wines we try end up as a permanent part of the range!

Our Wine Club has been meeting via Zoom since May last year discussing all things wine (and frequently food).

Each week we taste one wine. All you need to do is to buy that wine and make sure to leave us your email address. We will email you details for our FREE Zoom tasting on Thursday evenings at 6pm and tips on some food matching. All you need to do is grab a glass and pour! Cat will take you through a brief introduction to the grape variety(ies) and style and we’ll taste the wine together.

There is also an opportunity to ask questions, whatever is on your mind. Cat can’t promise to be able to answer the deeper meaning of life but she’s pretty good at most things wine.

If you like wine and want to know a bit more, these tastings are for you – they’re relaxed, informal and fun. The tasting lasts about half an hour giving you time to then head off and prepare some dinner to enjoy with the rest of your wine!

The series:

25th Feb – French Red, Domaine du Cros Marcillac £13.70

4th Mar – French White, Domaine Bruno Lupin Roussette de Savoie £17.60

11th Mar – Italian Red, Castiglion del Bosco Dainero £16.90

18th Mar – Spanish Red

25th Mar – Austrian White

1st Apr – French White

Adding this product to the basket will give you entry to this week’s tasting.
