Syrah prefers soils made of red and fine sands, rich in iron, which recall the sands from the desert.
Tasting Notes
The wine has an intense ruby-red colour with purple shades. On the nose, it is floral and fruity with hints of figs, elderflower and lavender. On the palate it is velvety, with hints of ripe red fruit.
Production Notes
Grapes were hand harvested in mid-August. Once at the winery, berries were crushed and softly pressed and macerated for eight to 10 days. After maceration, the must was fermented in temperature controlled stainless-steel tanks at 22-25°C. The wine was kept for three months at 10°C in stainless-steel tanks before bottling three months before release.
