In a Nutshell
The supple, early drinking third wine of Tenuta San Guido
Tasting Notes
A wine with attractive wild cherry and blackberry fruit aromas, the 2015 has supple textures and juicy ripe fruit flavours balanced by lively redcurrant characters and a hint of savoury spice on the finish. This wine will be delicious to drink from release. Drink from 2017 to 2020.
Production Notes
Strictly manual harvest then pressing and soft crushing of grapes. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature and without adding external yeasts. Maceration on the skins for 10-13 days for the Cabernet Sauvignon and for approximately 13-15 days for Sangiovese, with later phases of pumping and destalage. The malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. At the end of the malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barriques, it then spends 3 months in bottle before the release.
