Glenfarclas 105 has origins that are traced back to 1968 when Glenfarclas became the first distillery to release a barrel strength single malt whisky. This bottling was eventually named 105, referring to its alcohol content in British Proof (which equates now to 60% ABV).
105 has no age statement but the sherried fruit character suggests the presence of some ex-sherry barrels, no doubt alongside ex-bourbon barrels.
